the bebaak project
Who are we?
Created from a conversation between friends, The Bebaak Project is a space, a forum or a platform created to yield space for unhesitated, unconditional discourse. Emerging into the real world from a residential campus, which in relativity, had a much more vibrant discourse culture, all of us were suddenly thrown into an alienating world. With our peers thrown into different corners– some back home, some into work– the distance and loneliness was all too consuming. And with that we observed a depletion in spaces to talk about our pain, our rage, our love and even our happiness. Some of us passionate about community decided that we could not let this happen, and had to do something about it. This is our attempt. We have dreamt big things about the project, but we begin by making it exist first. What you may observe on this site right now is just that.
The Bebaak Project seeks to be a repository of our opinions, utopias, dystopias, and a lot more. The aim is that this ‘our’ will keep on growing, and that we form a community of people who actively engage in critical discourse. Here, we build a space to laugh, sob, bicker, heavily disagree, strongly agree, etc.
But that is not all. We want to and will try to inject every single aspect of this project with the values of freedom, community, imagination, ungovernability, mutual aid, friendship, and peace.
